With over a decade of experience in both hairdressing and barbering, Charles brings a refined edge and international expertise to every service. His journey began at the age of 15, training with the renowned Toni & Guy before launching into a dynamic apprenticeship in Chester city centre. Since then, Charles has carved out a reputation built on precision, versatility, and premium client care.

From managing a high-volume, fast-paced barbershop in the heart of Leeds to cutting for high-profile clientele on the sun-drenched shores of Ibiza, Charles’s career has been anything but ordinary. His two years overseas sharpened not only his skills, but his ability to deliver under pressure — blending creativity, technical excellence, and style-led results.

Now back in Chester, Charles is the proud founder of 22 Salon, where he continues to elevate barbering standards and mentor the next generation. Whether you’re after precision fades, long-layered cuts, expert beard sculpting, or a bold colour transformation, Charles delivers with confidence, clarity, and care.

Meet Joe – Senior Stylist & Colour Specialist

Joe brings over 12 years of barbering experience to 22 Salon, with a passion for the craft that’s been evident since the very first day he picked up a pair of clippers. Trained at the renowned Flanagans, he’s built a reputation for going above and beyond in every service he delivers blending technical precision with a genuine dedication to his clients.

Outside of the barbershop, Joe’s love for snowboarding and surfing keeps his creativity and lifestyle sharp, inspired by a balance of discipline, flow, and adventure.

Meet Sam - Senior Stylist & Educator

With 15 years of experience behind the chair, sams dedicated career in barbering & men’s hairdressing has been nothing but outstanding

For 9 of those years, he proudly owned and operated his own Barbershop, refining not just his technical skills but his understanding of client care, business, and the evolving world of modern grooming.

Throughout his career, hes worked in a variety of salons and barbershops across the Northwest, giving him a deep and versatile knowledge of every aspect of men’s hair—from traditional barbering techniques to contemporary cuts and styling trends. Alongside being a busy stylist, he runs his own hair education, sharing his expertise and passion with others in the industry.

Outside of his career Sam spends his time as a DJ & is a keen advocate for health and fitness & weight lifting, boxing and football .

Precision, creativity, and consistency are at the heart of his work, and hes committed to delivering top-tier service to every client who sits in his chair.

Sean has worked in barbershops throughout Chester, building strong local relationships and a loyal client base. His journey also includes providing mobile grooming services around the area — a testament to his commitment to convenience, quality, and community.

Outside of the barbershop, Sean stays grounded through his love of football, music & passionate about exploring the world through travel and staying active through mixed martial arts, including Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. These interests help keep him disciplined, focused, and always striving to improve both in his training and work as a barber.
